Welcome to the Dungeon

In this game, you play as Yoshi, and you’ve been trapped in a dungeon! The only way out is to find the treasure room, which lies all the way at the end of the dungeon. There’s only one problem, your journey won’t be easy! Along with navigating through the maze-like, randomly generated dungeon, you’ll have to face enemies like the Shy Guy and the Ghost. And be careful, the further you go through the dungeon, the harder it gets!

Our Project

The main feature of our Dungeon Crawler is its randomness. Every time you start a new game the map is randomly generated, and each individual room has a random number of enemies and background. Because of this, your experience will never be identical across separate playthroughs!

Implementation Specifics

Our project uses the pyGame library to create windows, render animations, and dictate sprite behavior, and uses the Anytree library to control the generation and representation of the game map.

Installation

For instructions on installation, refer to our repository, located at this link. The installation section contains information on cloning the repository, installing dependencies, and running the game.
