What is Project ROV-R?

Project ROV-R is a class project for Principles of Integrated Engineering (or PIE) offered at Olin College. It is designed to teach students about the integration of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering to create a product.

In PIE, students learn the necessary skills to create electromechanical designs, including design, analysis, construction, testing, and debugging. During the last six weeks of the class, these skills are put to the test when students must create their own mechatronic project with complex mechanical, electrical, and software systems. Students also encounter real world problems such as material and budgetary restraints with their projects.
