Meet the Team
Austin Strahm
Project Manager & Mechanical Lead
As team project manager, I oversaw the project timeline, task delegations, and team budget. As one of our mechanical engineers, I designed the conveyor belt modules and the drivetrain system. Outside of work, I enjoy playing soccer, table tennis, and board games.
Jacob Likins
Electrical Lead
I worked on the electrical and software design on the overall system. My primary responsibilities was the communication from the User interface side to the lower level electronics, working on controlling the belt as well as codesigning our central PCB. In my free time I love playing basketball, hiking, and going to coffee shops.
Aidan Schneider
Software/UX Lead
As Software UX Lead, I designed and implemented the Raspberry Pi user interface end to end. I also led and implemented the maintenance of technical documentation and the creation of the project website. Outside of school, I weightlift, play classical guitar, and go mountain biking.
Ansel Harris-Crowne
Electrical/Firmware Developer
I helped design and assemble the electrical and software subsystems. My primary responsibilities included managing electrical hardware, co-designing our central PCB, and developing code for the measuring station and bin sorting. In my free time, I love playing music, organizing strategic board games, and spending time in nature.
Mira Epstein
Mechanical Designer/Engineer
I worked on mechanical design and fabrication. I designed the dropoff system with paddles that actuate to remove the resistors from the conveyor belt. I created the aesthetic design of the project with the theme of a beehive.
Zahra Lari
Mechanical Designer/Engineer
I helped with the design and assembly of the housing/structure. I also helped with some of the fabrication for the housing. In my free time, I enjoy reading books and watching movies with friends.
